Ironing out the wrinkles

I tried to update my DT links a few weeks ago, but did something wrong and they all went haywire. I've looked at it a few times, just quickly, but couldn't spot the error. Today I found it... what a difference a tiny bit of punctuation makes hey! So now my DT links are working again :) Go check them out. I love every team that I am on - such cool stuff, such amazing inspiration, and such great people.

In other news: I often read peoples blogs and hear a lot about whether or not to continue with it all etc. It kind of puzzled me really. I always thought - blog, or don't blog. Password protect. What ever. What's the stress. Now I'm seeing the down side to blogging, and the whole, sharing your life on the net stuff. It's so easy for people to find you in places that you thought were quite private. And I didn't realise, just how much information I was putting out there. So I thought.. Stop blogging? Well, no I don't really want to, and if I stop, it also takes away coverage for things such as my DT's. Password protect this blog, but not the photog one? I was going to do this... but just realised another reason not to, but to be honest, right now I can't remember what it was LOL. So what do I do?

Well, I just have to bite my lip a bit more. I know I share a lot, an I am happy to share my info or help friends out. But I am realising I am sharing too much. As a very good friend said to me a while ago... I have worked really hard to get to where I am now. I know a lot of people who check my blog, and I am happy for that - it's on a public website! BUT, please be thoughtful in what you take, and where you take it :)

I guess my posts will become a little more vague, and if you want to know more details, you'll have to email me. As I said, I am happy to share information, and help others out. I do think I am a friendly and helpful person. I just don't want to be taken advantage of, and would prefer to know where my info is going and WHY.

And thankyou to my honey-girls, who know what I am talking about. You guys are a great support to me, and I am so very greatful. MWA!

Really? Well, you have me bamboozled. Your blog, I thought was totally classy and I wouldn't have thought you were putting information out there that could be considered "too personal". I mean... swollen faces, kiddies operations, fossicking for new photo locations. Hardly the stuff that soap operas are made of. Not compared with some other blogs I've seen.
So sorry that some people appear to have misused info or stirred things up.
I'd be sad to see you stop blogging. I guess then I'd just have to email you. More.

Hey Katie...
I am a lurker...i have been reading your blog for along time now, but have never commented. I LOVE your work and your last post prompted me to comment. You are such a talented scrapper and I love reading your blog too. Please don't stop blogging!
It's sad to hear that people out there can be so rude..haven't they got anything better to do?
All i can say is keep blogging...

Hi Chicky,

Please don't stop blogging. I will miss it so so much.....

It is so hard with these blogs. You always try and keep it real with everyday stuff and you do wonder if you put too much out there. I have been through the same thing of late.

I love your blog, you mix up work, play and everyday. You would be very very missed....dont stop!!!!

Hi Katie

I always enjoy reading your news, seeing your photos and admiring your scrapbooking creations.

Even though I don't leave comments all that often here I would miss you a lot if you ever stopped blogging.

I understand what your saying though, the Internet can be very public sometimes. We don't always know who is reading our blog and finding out about your personal lives. Maybe just be a bit more careful on how many detials you share here if your worried.

Have a great week and keep smiling.
Love from Susan (smiles1965) at Scrap Pile.

PS: I love those new photos of the boys in the last blog entry. The background area looks like the perfect place for a photo shoot, well done finding it.

Katie - I lvoe reading your blog and I'm sure you know I LOVE your work :) I don't always leave comments, but I often catch up with your news. Sorry that (by the sounds of it) someone has done the wrong thing by you :( I have a couple of friends who've stopped blogging because of what others think. I think it's great that we can all share the good times AS WELL AS the bad - it reminds us all that we're human and not alone in our struggles. I totally understand you not wanting to put everything out there though - not that I've ever read ANYTHING inappropriate on your blog.
