Helping the kiddies

Everyone in Victoria knows The Royal Childrens Hospital. Some have personal experiences there, others (like me) have been blessed to never have to. You don't have to look far to see/hear testimonies of families who have been in need of the RCH, and each and every one of them will rave about the wonderful care and atmosphere there. Of the five other families in my Mothers Group (from Mornington), two have had their children admitted to RCH for operations/procedures. It's a tradition to, I'd guess, every Victorian family to have the telly set to Chanel 7 for the Good Friday Appeal, even if it's just in the background. We love to see the figures climb and Victorian's "give that they may grow". In our house we always check out the paper on Easter Saturday to see what the total got to. It's a fantastic hospital. They do so much for families in need. They need as much support as they can possibly get. Like many people I thought "I want to help". Hmmm what can *I* do to help. Of course as you all know by now, I joined the committee for Crop for Kids, to hold a huge all day scrapbooking crop, and volunteered to teach a class. In addition to that I wanted to make a donation of behalf of Katie Toland Photography. So this is the plan.

On the day I will have a little stall set up with the shops. Anyone interested in booking a photoshoot with me can buy a $50 sitting fee voucher. HALF of this will be donated directly to The Royal Childrens Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

As I know there are quite a few people who would love to come to the crop, but have plans to go away etc and can not make it on the day, I thought I would put the offer out here. If you have seen my work, and are interested in booking a shoot, and would love to help out the Royal Childrens Hospital, email me. If you just want to know more or have any questions, email me too. I'd love to hear from you. The link is in the sidebar.

I often get asked "how much does it cost" and of course the answer to that depends on what you end up purchasing, but generally including the sitting fee it will cost between $100 and $250 and for that you'll get anything from my minimum order of 10 4x6 prints, up to the entire collection (30+ images in both colour and B&W) on CD. (I am planning a slight price rise in the new financial year, which will see the minimum order rise $30 to $130 - so book now if you want to get in before then)

Remember - Mother's day is comming up! Tell your DH that's what you want ;)
