Triple whammie!

My poor little Ethy-bug woke just before 6am crying, and didn't stop crying all day. Wont eat or drink. So not him. He never really cries, Liam didn't either. Infact at a recent BBQ with a big group of friends he did cry, and about 10 people turned in shock and gasped that they'd never heard him cry before! I think they may have heard him today. I dropped Liam off at kinder then rang the Dr's a TOLD them I was comming in LOL. Poor darling, no wonder he's been screaming, he has tonsillitis, a chest infection and an ear infection. It's all happened overnight. He was fine yesterday. We have antibiotics, but he doesn't like them, and threw up not long after having them. I'll try again in the morning. I also noticed as I handed over the script that it said "Ethan Toland (20 months) Whoops! I've been calling him 18 months for a bit too long LOL He's actually 20 months TODAY. Happy 20mth birthday Sweetheart! xx:( No childcare tomorrow. As much as I want to be there for my poor little cherub, gee I'm going to miss those three precious child free hours tomorrow. It's the only time I have no kiddies, and am not at work or travelling to/from work.

And on the topic of crying - wow, Liam has had a whammie of an afternoon too! Not my usualy placid kid. He wanted to make some craft things and I told him we couldn't do it until after dinner when daddy was home, because Ethan was still screaming, and he'd just thrown up all over me and the kitchen floor (and more!) He got all arogant and told me he was going to anyway, and "don't make me tell you one more time mummy, I AM doing it!" Onto the naughty chair with him. Took a while, cos I don't start the time until he's quiet. Half way through he was yelling at me that he was going to be sick (he wasn't, just wanted the attention) and started to have a big hissy-fit. So off to his room. Where the fit just got bigger! Into his PJ's and into bed - he was so overtired. He was running HYSTERICAL up and down the house SCREAMING that he was going to be sick, 'help me mummy', I need a glass of water, 'HELP ME MUMMY'. I mean, SCREAMING!!! I have never seen him have a full blown melt down - but tonight, well, yep, he qualified! I stayed so calm though (lots of prayers going up at the time! LOL) and finally got him to have a little lie down on his bed, just until Brett got home, and he'd called to say he was on his way (actually I called to say come rescue me, as Liam was running up and down the house screaming!) He lay down. Brett arrived home about two minutes later, and he was out cold! 6.00pm. Hasn't moved since. LOL That is one over tired little boy, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's not comming down with the same as Ethan. I tell you, until I had kids, I didn't know silence could sound so good!

Here's hoping for a good nights sleep and a better day tomorrow :)

Oh, I am so with you! Angus out of the blue on Sunday developed a chest infection, fever, asthma and conjunctivitis, and now that I have the same thing I think I can fairly reliably say he had a WHOPPER of a head-ache! I've been living on Panadol for the past two days and it barely takes the edge off. Praying that Ethan gets over it quickly and Liam wakes in a more pleasant mood!

Poor kids, I hope they feel happier and healthier soon. Good luck getting the medicine into Ethan even though he doesn't like the taste. It's not easy when they are sick is it.

Liam sounds like my daughter Amanda, she knows how to scream the house down and have a full blown melt down. You should have taken a photo and scrapped it. Ummm well maybe it wasn't the right moment....lol

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and hope the sickness dissapears ASAP. Good luck:)

Im feeling your pain Katie LOL Ive had Isaac like that since Sturday night, Nath came down with it Tuesday, and Caleb put himself to bed yesterday afternoon and slept for hours and asked for panadol (VERY unlike him!) Mine are all viral though, and so not much we can do but ride it out. Easier said than done on the amount of sleep Im getting.
Hope your little men pick up soon, its so hard listening to all that crying when your not used to it isnt it!
Big Hugs to you all

Katie, poor Ethan, hope he is feeling better today. It's so hard when kids are sick, and yes... giving them medicine isn't easy.

Poor Ethan. Hope he's much better now. You feel so helpless when your kids are sick and there isn't anything you can do for them.

Your photos are just gorgeous Katie. I wish I had photos of Lakeisha and I when she was younger - unfortunately I seemed to be the one behind the camera most of the time.

Hope you had a good weekend.

Isn't that weird - my 4yo was diagnosed on Friday with ear infection, chest infection, pneumonia. A week earlier she had her first total meltdown in the car. She and DH had a big screaming match and we had to pull the car over (that's a first). When she'd calmed down she went straight to sleep.
So it was a little weird reading the same things on your blog!
