five years ago...

Dates stick with me. I love to reminice.
Five years ago I woke to an early morning phone call... "anything yet"; "no".
All day long I answered the same phone calls as I waddled about home, partly terrified, partly excited. It was the day that was marked in bright colours on our calander, and most of our family and friends calanders. It was the day our first baby was due. The first grandchild on both sides. The first baby for our group of friends. The room was decorated in unisex yellow and navey, nappy wash service had delivered the first bundle of nappies, the bags were packed, the birthplan... well what birthplan! (How can you write one of those when you have no idea what you are in for! I think mine said "go with the flow" LOL) We were all ready to go, all we needed was the bubby. Needless to say, we all had to continue wait patiently for another 8 days :) But boy, was he worth waiting for.

Ah, beautiful. I'm of a mind to be reminiscing too at the moment :). And, lol, my birthplan was very similar to yours!

Isn't it wonderful to remember things like that! - no wonder we all scrap!!! Sounds like these memories would make a great scrapping page!
