Whooo Hoooo! I am a DT member!

OK, tooting my own trumpet here, but I'm excited! Cass phoned me yesterday with the fab news that I've been chosen as a DT member for Scrap Pile. It's such a fantastic site - I know Sofi has found it :) It's a fantastic and friendly community, the forums are great, and the gallery is fantastic. I've been a member over there for about two months now, and it has grown so much in that time. I'm so happy to be on the team! And as I needed a profile pic for Scrap Pile, I finally found a better photo - although I think I might have been mid-conversation in this one LOL (oooh, with my mouth closed! Imagine that (LYN) LOL)

So after that wonderful news I was of course inspired to scrap. Finished off one layout and then did another. Will upload shortly. After picking up the boys, met mum here and we headed off to the pool. Had the BEST time. Put all my work etc out of my mind and just played with my boys. There was hardly anyone else there, so we almost had the place completly to ourselves. We were there for a few hours, but I could have easily stayed longer. Just had to get home to meet the grocery delivery man, and had a few orders being picked up - big rush before Fathers day.

This morning I photographed my gorgeous friend Maggie's little girl Chloe. I tell you THAT is one adorable little girl. She's pretty much the same age as Ethan, and just scrumptious! And she has the best name too ;) I decided when I was about 9 that if I had a little girl one day, I'll call her Chloe... I'm obviously still waiting to be able to use it! Although Maggie and my other girlfried Lou, both had Chloe's within days/weeks of me having Ethan.

After Chloe's photos I took Liam down to kinder for one of his little friends birthday parties. You can hire out our kinder grounds for birthday parties. It's a great idea, especially for those pushed for space, and the kids get to play on all the equipment, there is a toilet/bathroom, and you don't need to worry about chairs/tables etc as they are all supplied. It was a dress up party, so Liam went as Superman. I did put his Spiderman top on Ethan, but when I found him two minutes later walking around with his arms out the neck hole, I decided it was probably to big LOL.

From there we headed over to mum and dads. The surprise for Dad's birthday was a Harley ride. They rode down just past here to Martha's Cove, the new marina at Safety beach. We were late as we had the other party, but were planning to get to mum's before they arrived back. As we pulled out onto the main road, they road past us. They were going very fast, and we couldn't keep up. We were a bit bummed that we wouldn't see them arrive home, but as they went the long way, we were able to get there in time (just). Dad loved it, although he was a bit stiff getting off, after sitting there for an hour. We went inside for a yummy dinner or taco's and chocolate cake.

Brett's worked on the garden lighting around the deck all day, and it looks brilliant. He really is a clever chook. In between the catwalks (between the decks) we've planted giant birds of paradise, and he's spotlighted them, the palms, the garden beds at the back of our house, and the boardwalk to the front garden (that looks like a runway now ;) but fabulous!) He's going to do some more work on it tomorrow, so I'll try and get another pic tomorrow night.
