Photo a day - 11th Jan

Today: He was at childcare. I didn't get a chance to get a pic until late as we went shopping. Liam bought an Optumus Prime toy with money from his moneybox. There is something so cute about seeing a little kid carry his moneybox into a toy store. He's happy. I picked up two good cookbooks. "4 ingredients", and "Deceptivly Delicious" all about hiding vegetables in the kids food. Something we need to do a bit of here. Once upon a time they were not fussy eaters. I always thought fussy eaters was a load of rubbish. You know how it goes, if they're hungry they'll eat. If you only give them vegies, they'll only eat vegies... yada, yada, yada. Then I actually HAD a child, who overnight, became a fussy eater. If they're hungry they'll scream. They'll scream till they fall asleep exhaused from screaming. Then they'll wake up, cos they're hungry, and if you only give them vegies they'll scream some more. If you want your sanity, you'll give them a bloomin vegemite sandwich! Well that's how it is in this house anyway. But now... I have Deceptivly Delicous. Not too sure how exactly you can hide spinach in chocolate fudge, but apparently you can... and although it sounds utterly gross, it does look delish.

Loving all your photos - think I will start doing a photo a day too - I just hate not starting at the very start (eg Jan 1st) lol, but today is as good a day as any! You really have captured that fun carefree summertime feel.

I followed all the advice to avoid having fussy eaters too. Mine became fussy eaters overnight as well - one day they were happy eating copius amounts of pumpkin and broccoli and the next, they wouldn't have a bar of it - GRRRRR! I've even resorted to giving them weetbix for dinner sometimes, just so I can get something decent into them. That cookbook looks great. Here's to getting our kids eating vegies :)
