Night mysteries

I went out to Wendy's last night for the Crop for Kids meeting. Arrived home after midnight, to a dark house, but I could hear the computer was still on. I popped into the study, checked my emails, returned some emails, organised some things etc before shutting down the computer and heading to bed. As I walked into our room I thought our bed looked strange, so I switched the light on really dim, to discover Brett wasn't in bed. That was strange. The house was all switched off etc like he'd gone to bed, but I thought I'd check the couch to see if he'd fallen asleep there. Nope, the couch was empty. I thought maybe he'd hopped into Liam's bed with him, so I checked Liam's room. Nope. No one in Liam's bed, and no doona or pillows on his bed. Very strange. Maybe they'd gone out? I checked Ethan's room and he was fast asleep in his cot.

Really strange!

As I stood in the kitchen at 1.00am, in the dark, trying to work out what was going on, something outside caught my eye. I went to the door to get a better look, and there was the tent set up on the deck. I had to giggle as I peeked inside to find father and son, spread out, arms in each others faces, fast asleep. I really wanted to get a pic, but I was exhausted, and I knew if the flash woke them they'd both be terrible grumps today, so I let it go. That image will just have to stay in my memory.
